Inspired by the layers of sediment founds in desert landscapes revealed through erosion, this stoneware table lamp captures the organic fluidity of shifting earth through a technique that combines the traditional art form of nerikomi with clay marbling.

Three stoneware clay bodies were wedged together to create thick marbled clay slabs that were then split, turned and matched to vary the colored patterns. The subtle evidence of hand from slab building this table lamp enhances it organic, psychedelic graphic qualities.

This lamp features a brown twisted cloth cord, antique brass hardware and dimmer control.
