Inspired by the layers of sediment founds in desert landscapes revealed through erosion, this stoneware table lamp captures the organic fluidity of shifting earth through a technique that combines the traditional art form of nerikomi with clay marbling.

Three stoneware clay bodies were wedged together to create thick marbled clay slabs that were then split, turned and matched to vary the colored patterns. This slab built table lamp enhances it psychedelic graphic qualities with its subtle evidence of hand.

This lamp features sandy brown twisted cloth cord, black hardware and dimmer control.
